Ask questions that reveal the truth
- 1Ask about past behaviour, not hypothetical futures.
- 2Use open questions: 'Tell me about the last time…'
- 3Listen more than you talk; don't pitch.
Example: Weak: 'Would you use an app for revision?' Strong: 'Walk me through how you revised for your last test.'
Your challenge
Write 3 open interview questions for your problem, then ask one person and note one surprise.
This is practice, not a qualification. It's recorded as "Practised" in your portfolio until you apply it in a project.
